Calling All Visionaries

What does “visionary” mean to you?  I’d love to hear from you.  I’m offering my popular Visionary Leadership training again this weekend and I’ve always thought of myself as a visionary.  Have you ever thought of yourself this way? Are you an innovator or a risk taker? Do you like to provide new insights and creative ideas? Are you focused on solutions and on creating a positive future, despite all the many crises we see around us today?  My skills as a practical visionary were honed through an experience of a raging forest fire and a roadblock I encountered some years ago….

Read what visionary means to Corinne McLaughlin.

Visionary Leadership and the Chakras

There are seven steps in expressing your vision and passion effectively in the world, related to your seven chakras or etheric energy centers. To become a practical visionary, you need to understand how energy flows through your centers and where there are blocks or imbalances.

The ideal is to have visionary energy from your highest chakra (at the top of your head) flowing unimpeded through each chakra until it is grounded in a practical way through your lowest chakra, the root chakra. The following steps will help you realize your intention:

1. Align your vision (crown, or pineal center).
2.
Shape your vision into a clear mission with strategy and goals (brow, or ajna center).
3. Communicate your mission creatively and sound a clear note (throat center).
4. Develop good relationships to ensure support (heart center).
5.
Energize your mission with emotional enthusiasm (solar plexus center).
6. Attract resources (sexual/financial center).

7. Ground your vision with practical,  sustainable strategies (root center).

Practical Visionaries in the Egyptian Revolution

What spiritual lessons do you think we can harvest from the current crises in the Middle East? As I watched the news, I recalled an amazing insight I had about Egyptian culture when I visited the land of the pyramids and the ancient mysteries in 1973, narrowly missing the Israeli-Egyptian war that year.

With the recent devastating earthquake and radiation danger in Japan, and all the on-going crises in so many countries in the Middle East, we'd like to offer this meditation.  Please adapt it in whatever way you see fit.

MEDITATION ON A WORLD CRISIS

Begin by taking a few deep breaths, and stilling your body, emotions and mind.

Ask for the help of your higher self or soul and hold a clear intention to be of help in this crisis.

Recognize a higher purpose outworking in the world, serving human evolution amidst the crisis.

Hear the invocative cry of humanity for spiritual help, and see this cry connecting with a higher source of light, love and spiritual power.

Hold open your heart in love to the human suffering in the world, and send healing energy to the victims of the crisis.

Visualize the victims becoming more calm and peaceful, with light and love transforming fear or anger.

Examine the inner, spiritual forces at work behind the scenes: Observe the spiritual lessons being learned through the crisis.  Seek to understand the deeper meaning of the crisis by identifying with the participants.  Reflect on the deeper causes and karmic cycles that have created the crisis.

Hold the leaders involved in the crisis in the light, asking that they align with their higher self to make decisions for the greatest good of all.

Visualize a flow of loving wisdom awakening humanity, as people around the world learn the deeper lessons presented by the crisis.

Close with a blessing or prayer for everyone involved in the crisis.
