What makes The Center for Visionary Leadership unique in the non-profit world?  We’re practical visionaries who work from the inside out—we reveal the inner, spiritual dimensions of outer action in the world. We connect the inner world of spiritual wisdom and guidance with dynamic, outer creativity to build the new civilization. There are many wonderful spiritual groups and social action groups today--but few address both the inner and outer worlds simultaneously, communicating to mainstream society in a down-to-earth, practical way as we do. We think our unique approach is worthy of your support.

Since the launch of our seminal book, Spiritual Politics, in 1994, we’ve explored the inner, hidden causes of world events, such as recent weather upheavals.  We’ve helped many people find their life purpose and an inner source of reliable guidance to make their lives more meaningful. When each of us makes a commitment to our higher purpose, we receive abundant help from Spirit—our ultimate safety net amidst all the upheaval in the world today.

Our commitment is to promote positive, innovative solutions to social problems through our seminars and articles, such as the $2.3 trillion social investment movement; the billions invested in new “green” technologies--solar, wind, biomass, fuel cells, and hydrogen; the power of oyster mushrooms to transform toxic lead and spilled oil; the use of coherent light, modulated light and harmonic sound with water for healing the body; the new “webocracy” and multi-stakeholder dialogues for transforming politics; and the largest movement in the history of the world for peace, justice and environmental sustainability—over one million civil society groups and growing!

Psychosophy Consulting: We consult with leaders around the world using a new psychology to help them integrate conscious, subconscious and superconscious dimensions of their being for greater effectiveness and joy in living.  We also provide pro bono consulting to many organizations in the U.S. and Europe, helping with visioning, leadership development and spiritual issues.

World Service Intergroup (WSI) and Meditation for the Middle East: One of our main projects is organizing a yearly invitational conclave with leaders of 65 international meditation centers.  For 12 years, we’ve met in major cities around the world to meditate on world issues, and this year we’ll focus our meditation efforts on the Middle East, the U.S., and healing our relationship to nature.  To support emerging leaders around the world, the WSI created a Next Generation Council as well as a MySpace website for spiritually oriented teenagers to meet.

New Inspirational Audio Clips are now offered in our newsletter and website:  You can hear a brief audio clip of a meditation from our Creative Meditation CD on www.visionarylead.org. You can also hear an introduction of CVL co-founders Corinne McLaughlin and Gordon Davidson from the introduction to their Mastering Time CD.

Intergenerational Collaboration:  We’re co-sponsoring InterGen: An Intergenerational Collaboration for Co-Creating a Brilliant New World December 7 – 9 at Meditation Mount in Ojai, California. Its purpose is to create a multi-generational field of higher consciousness through open-hearted dialogue and experiential processes that can aid a system-wide social transformation.  We hope to catalyze a radical exploration of solutions to global issues from the perspectives of young visionaries and wise elders. We are also working with a multi-generational collaborative of over 30 spiritual and social change organizations in the Partnershift Alliance, which the Institute for Noetic Sciences and other organizations catalyzed last year. 

Monthly Meditations, Spiritual Film Gatherings, and Spirituality and Social Change Salons are some of our current activities which are building a spirit of community locally.

Soul Light E-Newsletter:  Our free, quarterly on-line newsletter goes out to over 4,000 people world-wide. This year, we’ve featured articles by internationally acclaimed visionaries such as our long-time friends Paul Hawken in Blessed Unrest, Hazel Henderson in Ethical Markets, and Dr. Karl Maret in Scientific Breakthroughs by 2012.  We’ve featured spiritual practices such as a Meditation on the Harmonics of the New World and Loving Kindness, and discussed how conscious film-watching can be a spiritual practice.  The What’s New section of the newsletter alerts readers to inspiring new films, books and magazines such as Dalai Lama Renaissance, WorldChanging, and What Is Enlightenment?  Sample Spiritual Practices from previous issues are attached.
